History
The East Central / Vancleave Link is a community newspaper highlighting life in the East Central and Vancleave communities. The East Central Link debuted in 2007 and has experienced overwhelming community support. After numerous requests to extend our coverage to Vancleave, in March of 2010 we expanded to cover Vancleave as well, while at the same time maintaing the 100% local feel of a small town newspaper.
Both communites have equal coverage and the paper is designed in a way making it easy for our readers to know just where to go to find what they are looking for.

Pictured here: The Chesser Family at the Hurley Christmas Parade in 2007. This was the second issue of the paper and we threw nearly 2,000 copies to parade goers. When we went back later to pick up old ones, we only found ONE on the ground. That was a sign from God that this community was ready for our own newspaper! We fell in love with this community in 1998 after being transferred here by the U.S. Navy. We decided to stay and raise our family in the South. That was the best decision we've ever made. Thanks for welcoming us with open arms and letting us be the voice of the community through The Link.
