Dinner-theatre ministry
On Saturday, January 7, Academy of Christians in Theatre (A.C.T.), hosted a dinner theatre at Wade Baptist Church. The event was a fundraiser for the Barrow Family. The excitement started in the gym with everyone enjoying a traditional southern meal, and then moved to the old sanctuary for a presentation of “A Golden Fleecing” by R. Eugene Jackson.
Te-J Thompson is an 18-year-old home-schooled student whose senior curriculum required him to direct a play. Te-J took the assignment to a whole new level and decided to turn it into a fundraiser. The first performance of the show was held at a church in Gautier, and the proceeds fed 35 families on Thanksgiving.
